How we have helped our clients

Our client needed to redesign its Management System with a focus on the NEB OPR regulations. Our mandate was to design a new approach that was pragmatic for the size of the company, re-use/modify as many of the existing process documents as possible, and help the organization “operationalize” the processes of maintaining the new system. The new Management System leveraged the existing protection programs in order to minimize operational impact. Senior executives were involved to ensure that the processes developed aligned with the company’s operating approach.

- International Pipeline Company

Ethier assisted with the client’s response to the NEB Audit of five protection programs (Health & Safety, Emergency Management, Environment, Third Party Crossings and Public Awareness (Land Right of Way and Corridor Management)). We analyzed and summarized the five NEB audit reports into corrective actions and helped the organization address the findings in a systematic and cohesive manner. We developed a phased Corrective Action Plan that was successfully completed in 12 months with no significant feedback or concerns from the NEB.

- International Pipeline Company

Ethier provided enterprise change management consulting assistance to work with the client on their Incident Management and Corrective Actions Project. The scope of the project included the rollout of an updated Incident Management Standard, a new Corrective Action Standard, new processes and the Enablon system. Ethier built the five stage change management and implementation plan and then worked with the project team and implementation leads throughout the organization to ensure successful implementation and adoption.

- Global Integrated Oil & Gas Company

Ethier supported our client to redesign their Facility Integrity & Reliability Management management system to ensure compliance with NEB regulations and conformance with their enterprise Asset Management System requirements. Ethier developed a performance management framework to assess whether the management system implementation and operation delivered against enterprise and regulatory requirements and created processes for engineering and program teams to define Goals, Objectives and Targets to guide efforts to address adequacy and effectiveness issues and improve integrity and reliability performance. The new processes positioned the organization to successfully meet NEB audit requirements and contributed to meeting their safety, integrity and continuous improvement goals.
